What a gorgeous debut by this Polish quartet. Clearly, a nod to diverse 70s prog-greats (the usual suspects, nothing wrong with me!) but with a very fresh sound. The base might be melodic, colourful (sympho-)prog but folky or jazzy sprinklings are tastefully added.

I had to let pass Cuneiform Record's last weekend specials, because I bought too much music the weeks before and for the life of me couldn't listen appropriately to all of it... This week, I really couldn't resist: A jazz album with - among others - Black Sabbath, The Cure and Joni Mitchell in mind? Reading the liner notes alone triggered a strong bite..., er, buying reflex, pre-listening did the rest ;-)
